LAFC are a stalwart in the MLS Cup conversation these days, and they have been propelled by superstars such as Gareth Bale and Carlos Vela, but their defense may be the highlight of this current iteration of the Black and Gold.
With a clean sheet through the first 45 minutes of their showdown against a red-hot Minnesota United, Steve Cherundoloās side have set a new club record at the back.
As of half-time of the clash with the Loons, it had been 444 minutes since LAFC conceded a goal in any competition, a feat never before accomplished by the SoCal club.
The previous club record came in March and April of last season when they went 418 minutes without needing to collect the ball out of their net.
Can they keep this streak up?
