A recap of some of the deals – and potential deals – from around La Liga lately, with plenty going on.
Sport say that Celta Vigo have reached an agreement with Andorra to sign goalkeeper Marc Vidal. The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Barca Atletic, alternating with Ander Astralaga.
Meanwhile Relevo explain that Celta have the green light from Borja Iglesias to sign him. However Celta are yet to reach an agreement with Real Betis, who still have €8m to pay off from his transfer over the two remaining years of his deal. They will consider the loan with an option to buy that Celta want depending on the numbers – O Celeste are keen to use Manu Garcia as a makeweight, as he is not part of Claudio Giraldez’s plans.
Los Pericos made right-back Alvaro Tejero their first signings since getting promoted back to La Liga. The 27-year-old signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year, arriving on a free from Eibar, and is set to compete for a spot with Omar El Hilali.
They have also loaned in Carlos Romero from Villarreal, with the 22-year-old playing mostly for Villarreal B in Segunda last year.
Osasuna have signed a left-back to replace Johan Mojica, with Abel Bretones coming in from Real Oviedo. The 23-year-old will cost Los Rojillo €2.8m, He too has penned a five-year contract.
Rayo Vallecano are set to sign Etienne Eto’o from Union Collado, and the 21-year-old will play for their B side, say Relevo. Formerly of the RCD Mallorca and Barcelona youth ranks, the son of Samuel Eto’o will play in the fourth tier.
The islanders have made a first move under Jagoba Arrasate, signing right-back Mateu Morey on a one-year contract. The 24-year-old ex-La Masia graduate has suffered from injuries, but returns to his native Mallorca.
VfL Bochum winger Takuma Asano has also come in on a free. An experienced international with Japan, the 29-year-old former Stuttgart, Hannover and Partizan forward has a two-year contract on the island.
Real Betis have brought in goalkeeper Adrian from Liverpool on a free, signing him to a two-year deal.
Los Verdiblancos have also signed creative midfielder Iker Losada from Racing Ferrol. They paid €1.8m for the 22-year-old and have him on a five-year contract.
Real Valladolid have spent €4m on 21-year-old winger Stipe Biuk from Los Angeles FC. The 21-year-old Croatian spent last year on loan at Valladolid, and originally came from Hajduk Split, and has a contract until 2029.
Valencia look to have finally found an agreement with Sevilla for forward Rafa Mir. After two years of links to a return to Mestalla, and various frustrated attempts, Relevo say Valencia will pay some of his €3.8m salary, and the rest will be waived by Mir.
They will not pay his ammortisation of €2-2.5m, and Mir has agreed to reduce the 10% commission that he and his agent were due from his sale, which was the sticking point. Valencia will have a €5m buy option for the 27-year-old.
Villarreal have signed goalkeeper Diego Conde from Leganes. The 26-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Yellow Submarine, and replaces the outgoing Pepe Reina, who left the club this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has also claimed that the Yellow Submarine have reached an agreement with Almeria for 21-year-old Arnau Sola. The deal will be a loan with a €2.5m option to buy.
Veteran forward Jose Luis Morales has left on a free to rejoin Levante at the age of 36, after his deal was not renewed.
