Xavi has been pretty generous in handing out opportunities for academy graduates to make their debuts with the first team, and several players have taken advantage of this situation to play with the first team. For instance, Hector Fort, Marc Guiu, and Marc Casado have all played with the first team this year.

One of these players, Marc Guiu, has been particularly impressive whenever he has played under Xavi, and there are already some top-flight sides looking to acquire his services.

According to a report from Alonso Rivero, Sevilla are looking to reinforce their squad in the coming summer transfer window, and are looking at the Barcelona striker for this purpose.

However, with uncertainties surrounding Xavi’s future at Barcelona and the club facing financial constraints, Barcelona Sporting Director, Deco, wants to wait until the end of the season to make a decision regarding the 18-year-old striker.

Naturally, the youngster will want to stay at Barcelona if the new manager seems to be open to giving him a spot in the first team. Robert Lewandowski’s future at the club will thus also have a significant impact on his chances of staying at the club.

As things stand, the 18-year-old striker is still registered with the U-19 Barcelona team. But he has played at different levels in the club, having accumulated 2 Champions League, 3 La Liga, 7 Primera Federacion, 2 Copa del Rey, and 3 UEFA Youth League appearances.

He is currently valued at €7.5 million, but there is a high chance that Barcelona will retain some rights over him even if this move ultimately materializes this summer.
