Despite their strong start to the season, Real Madrid Castilla has been unable to get the required results for the last few weeks. Thus, Raul can replace Quique Sanches Flores, whose continuity at the club is not assured, even though he has been successful in ensuring the team does not get relegated from La Liga.

Sevilla already had their eyes on Raul when they were looking to replace Jose Luis Mendilibar, but ultimately, Diego Alonso was appointed at that time. Now, as the Andalusians look to once again upgrade their coaching position, Raul’s name is again under consideration.

However, the former Real Madrid striker will be facing competition from other high-profile names like Jagoba Arrasate and Enzo Maresca for this position.

Meanwhile, Quique Sanches Flores’ continuity at the club can also not be fully ruled out. The current Sevilla coach still has one year remaining on his contract, but the Andalusian club can terminate it under a penalty clause in this contract.

The club’s brass still enjoys good relations with Flores, but he has not been able to incorporate the reinforcements that Sevilla brought in the last winter window.
