Kylian Mbappé (25) has returned to full training with Didier Deschamps’ France set-up on Monday, hours before Real Madrid announced he will join the Champions League-winning La Liga club, according to a report from L’Equipe. Since Wednesday, Les Bleus have been preparing for the Euros at their Clairefontaine home. On Sunday, Mbappé was rested for the afternoon sessions.

On Monday, Les Bleus were given the morning off, to coincide with the traditional pre-tournament visit from French President Emmanuel Macron and Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. Footage from the visit showed Kylian Mbappé informing Emmanuel Macron that he would be announced as a Real Madrid player on Monday evening, which proved correct.

Tomorrow morning, Les Bleus will hop on a train to Metz, where they will play Luxembourg for the first of their two pre-Euros friendly games. France will then host Canada on Sunday at Bordeaux. Considering they will only join their teammates on Wednesday on the back of their Champions League title, Real Madrid players Ferland Mendy (28), Aurélien Tchouaméni (24) and Eduardo Camavinga (21) are not expected to take part in the game against Luxembourg. But it could be Kylian Mbappé’s first game since his transfer to Real Madrid has been made official.
