Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti is ready to leave two members of the first-team ranks at former employers Real Madrid out of his next squad.

The pair in question? Vinícius Jr, and Éder Militão.

Word was forthcoming earlier this week that wide-man Vinícius would not be afforded a call-up to Brazil’s next squad, to afford the 24-year-old such much-needed rest.

Vini is also suspended for the first of Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifying double header against Chile and Bolivia.

Amid a return to fitness, though, defender Militão was expected to be drafted back in by the aforementioned Ancelotti.

But if the latest word stemming from Spain over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, this will not be the case.

As per a report from journalist José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, the call has been made that Militão will also be allowed to remain in Madrid for the September international break.

This comes with a view to the former Porto man continuing to ramp up his fitness levels, following a long-term spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury.
