Kylian Mbappé is already Paris Saint-Germain’s record goal-scorer. He is not yet France’s top-scorer of all time but at the age of just 25, he has plenty of time to catch Olivier Giroud, Les Bleus’ all-time top-scorer, who has just 11 goals more than the PSG forward. He is now looking to make history in the UEFA Champions League too.

Thanks to his brace against Barcelona in the second leg of PSG’s quarter-final of the Champions League, Les Parisiens not only progressed to the semi-final of the competition (6-4 on aggregate) but on a personal level, Mbappé breached the top 10 goalscorers of all-time in the competition.

With 48 goals, he has drawn level with former AC Milan and Chelsea forward Andriy Shevchenko, as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Thierry Henry is just two goals ahead on 50 goals. The France captain nonetheless has a long way to go to reach the heights that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo reached in the competition. The latter is the all-time top scorer in the competition with 140 goals; Messi, one of Mbappé’s former teammates at PSG, has 129 goals to his name in the Champions League.
