Not content with being named player of the year for the third consecutive time, the 23-year-old wants to finish top scorer and with the most assists.

He has notched 25 goals so far this season, putting him one ahead of Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder, and his 15 assists have him two ahead of PSG team-mate Lionel Messi.

Receiving the POTY award, Mbappé said: “It’s always a great pleasure to be here, and an honor. That’s why I insisted on coming (to PSG).

“Winning three times is incredible. We had a somewhat difficult season, but we recovered our title. This year, I felt this respect, this recognition, and I continue my story, I am never satisfied.”

In relation to his individual targets against Metz, the France international said: “I hope for a great party with the supporters next week, that’s what we’ve been missing a bit lately.

“But it is true that it is the stake of the match. If I can grab everything, I’m not going to deprive myself.
