West Ham United entertained SC Freiburg at the London Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Europa League. The Hammers made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the ninth minute when Lucas Paqueta got his name on the scoresheet. Jarrod Bowen doubled West Ham’s advantage in the 32nd minute as David Moyes’ men went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead.

Aaron Cresswell killed the game off in the 52nd minute before Mohammed Kudus got himself a quick-fire brace in the final quarter of the game. The contest ended with West Ham earning a dominant 5-0 win this evening and a 5-1 win on aggregate.

LB: Aaron Cresswell – 8/10

He performed his defensive duties well and was strong in the air. Cresswell did well to score early in the second half.

CM: Tomas Soucek – 7.5/10

Soucek offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and ended the game with an assist to his name.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
