Folarin Balogun (22) is expected to return for AS Monaco after missing the last two matches with a shoulder issue, however, Krépin Diatta (24) will miss out with a muscular injury.

Balogun suffered the shoulder injury during a Coupe de France victory over Rodez in late January. He subsequently missed the draws against Le Havre AC and Olympique de Marseille. With Myron Boadu leaving Monaco to join FC Twente on loan, that left Wissam Ben Yedder as the only experienced recognised striker in the first team.

Balogun is fit. He trained fully in the past two days and is therefore in contention for tomorrow,” said Hütter in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News.

Whilst Balogun’s return is a boost for Hütter as Les Monégasques prepare to face FC Rouen in the Coupe de France on Thursday, the Austrian manager will have to do without Diatta, who only recently returned from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The Senegalese winger is out with a muscular injury to the right psoas. His period of absence has not yet been specified.

Mohamed Camara, who has also just returned from the AFCON following Mali’s elimination, is a doubt to face Rouen, with the Principality club yet to ascertain his fitness levels. The midfielder only returned to first-team training in La Turbie on Wednesday.
