Barcelona will owe a massive €6m to Ronald Koeman if he doesn't have his deal extended at the end of this season.
Koeman's current contract runs to June and there's doubts that he could still be in the job by Christmas.
But should the Dutchman see out the season, he will still be due a massive €6m in compensation should Barca choose not to renew his contract another year.
This is the amount Koeman paid the KNVB to get out of his contract as Holland coach in order to take the Barca job.
Esport 3 via AS says the compensation arrangement was agreed between Koeman and former president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The clause remains in Koeman's contract despite the change of administration.
Should Barca president Joan Laporta wish to look elsewhere for a new coach, Koeman will still be due the massive compensation pay-off.
The Dutchman remains under pressure at Barca after Monday night's 1-1 draw with Roberto Moreno's Granada.
