Side by side, a girl and a boy, their smiling faces, colours that emerge from black and white. A work of art inspired by the values of football - this was the idea behind the mural recently completed by Brazilian street artist Kobra, and the São Paulo native has decided to donate his impressive work to the Juventus Academy in the Perus district of his home town.
Social and educational themes have always been integral elements that Kobra has woven into his work. Always mindful of his roots and origins, the artist once again sought to spread his message via the visual impact of his work, this time through the values from the world of football, primarily socialisation and education, which football can convey in a truly inclusive way.
Juventus has always believed in these same values, as demonstrated by the Academy project, which for years has been working together with thousands of children, who while having fun playing football, come to know the Juventus educational model.
Academies just like the one located on the outskirts of São Paulo in Perus, now home to this vibrant and vivid work of art, which sends the clear message that football is, and must be, for everyone. It is not by chance that the two children portrayed participate in the project in Perus.
Each of the 23 Juventus academies in Brazil has opened its doors again following the Covid-19 pandemic, a further signal of the desire to look to the future with optimism, sharing common values that inspire us and which are now also a celebration of colour in the distinctive work of Kobra.
