Kingsley Coman reveals that he finally cut off his trademark braid having “matured” as a person and player.
Coman typically sported “red, gold, black, and green” beads on the shoulder-length strand of hair as nod to his Afro-Caribbean roots.
However, the locks have now gone and with them, hopefully, have memories from a difficult season.
“It was a souvenir from the time when I still had long hair,” he told BILD. “But it’s been five years now since I had locks. That’s why I also finally shaved oft the last memento of them.”
“Sometimes I have a pattern shaved into my hair. I used to be crazy! Today, I’m more mature.”
Coman will enjoy the World Cup as a spectator after he was left out of France’s squad, but Bayern teammate Corentin Tolisso has travelled with the squad to Russia.
