Kieran Tierney returns as Real Sociedad handed double boost before Villarreal | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have today been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.

As much comes by way of confirmation that two high-profile members of Imanol’s squad have made their respective returns to first-team training.

The players in question? Kieran Tierney, and Sheraldo Becker.

Defender Tierney has been sidelined since late last month, owing to a thigh injury suffered during a meeting with Celta Vigo.

And attacker Becker followed suit onto the treatment table early in February, after picking up a hamstring problem at Girona.

Amid nothing short of an injury crisis in Imanol’s ranks, it is safe to say that some good news regarding the pair’s wellbeing, in turn, would mark a major boost for all associated with La Real.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, precisely that has been forthcoming.

As per Mundo Deportivo, both Tierney and Becker took part in group training with the rest of their teammates this morning.

It now remains to be seen whether either are deemed fit enough to take their place in Sociedad’s matchday squad, for a La Liga meeting with Villarreal at Anoeta this Friday night.
