Four madridistas are taking part in the Copa América, which is being played in Brazil until the 10th of July. Brazil, led by Casemiro, Militão and Vini Jr, will take on Chile in the quarter-finals after finishing top of Group B. Valverde's Uruguay finished second in Group A and will meet Colombia in the next stage.

BRAZIL Quarter-finals: Brazil-Chile (Saturday, 3 July, 02:00am) Group Stage: Brazil-Venezuela (3-0) Brazil-Peru (4-0) Brazil- Colombia (2-1) Brazil-Ecuador (1-1) Group B winners Brazil have already qualified for the quarter-finals, where they'll face Chile. In the final group match, the Canarinha drew 1-1 against Ecuador thanks to a goal from Militão. Casemiro and Vini Jr. were second-half substitutes. In matchday 3, Casemiro got the winner in the victory over Colombia. In the second game, Brazil thrashed Peru 4-0 with Militão playing the full 90 minutes. In their first clash, Brazil got the better of Venezuela with the defender and Casemiro starting the full match and Vini Jr. coming off the bench in the 86th minute.

URUGUAY Quarter-finals: Uruguay-Colombia (Sunday, 4 July, 00:00am) Group Stage: Argentina-Uruguay (1-0) Uruguay-Chile (1-1) Bolivia-Uruguay (0-2) Uruguay-Paraguay (1-0) Valverde's Uruguay team will lock horns with Colombia in the quarter-finals after finishing second in Group A. Before that, the midfielder played in the win against Paraguay. In the match against Bolivia, he played all of his team's matchday three win. He also played 90 minutes in the draw against Chile on matchday two. In the first group match, his team lost by a goal to nil against Argentina with him playing 83 minutes.
