Kevin Gameiro is set to turn 37 in May. With the Frenchman’s contract expiring at the end of the season, it is expected that he will leave RC Strasbourg Alsace, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Gameiro has become a legend at Strasbourg, scoring 43 goals in 167 games for the Alsace club. The France international recently reached the milestone of 100 goals in Ligue 1 but he won’t be adding significantly to his current total of 101, according to L’Équipe. It is expected that he will depart the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season. A move abroad is envisaged.
Another player expected to stay is Ibrahima Sissoko. The 26-year-old midfielder isn’t a pillar of the team but he is a solid and respected squad player, who now represents one of the most experienced figures in the dressing room, having played almost 200 games for RCSA. Like Gameiro, Sissoko’s contract expires at the end of the season and despite featuring prominently, he is now expected to leave. However, his performances this season mean he won’t be short of suitors.
