Stade Brestois have joined Ligue 1 rivals OGC Nice in registering an interest in RC Strasbourg Alsace goalkeeper Robin Risser (20), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Risser, a France U21 international, impressed last season while on loan at Red Star in Ligue 2. However, he could depart Strasbourg this summer, rather than re-joining his partner club. L’Équipe have already reported interest from Nice, who may be in the market for a replacement for Marcin Bulka. The Poland international’s current deal expires next summer and negotiations over a renewal are at deadlock. A departure this summer is, thererfore, likely.

Brest could also lose their first-choice goalkeeper, Marco Bizot, this summer. The Dutchman is touted to leave the Breton club. They too have shown an interest in Risser in recent days and preliminary talks between the clubs have taken place. The Frenchman, on international duty with Les Bleuets, has a contract at RCSA that runs until 2027.
