Former Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe has opened up on his summer move from Leeds United to Anderlecht, a move believed to be in the £6.5m range.
Roofe led Leeds in scoring last season with 15 goals but couldn’t guide Leeds to Premier League promotion as they suffered a late-season collapse.
The 27-year-old has kicked on at Anderlecht this season, banging in seven goals in 16 appearances for the club, and has not thought twice about his move to Belgium.
“No regrets at all,” said Roofe.
“If you’re thinking ifs and buts and I’m asking questions like, ‘Should I have done this, should I have done that?’, you’re going nowhere in life.
“I made a decision and I’ll stick with it. I’m enjoying it and want to keep improving.”
Though Roofe is doing his own thing at Anderlecht, he’s still following Leeds week-by-week and tips them for promotion.
“When I get a chance. A lot of Sundays and they play Saturdays, so if I finish training on time I’ll watch their games.
“I still talk to a lot of the boys and they’re flying. I have got a very good feeling for them this season, I really do.”
After a slow start to the season, Anderlecht have rallied and are now in ninth place with six matches left in the first stage of the Belgian Pro League.
