Leeds United Women return to the Bannister Prentice Stadium this Sunday, facing Cheadle Town Stingers in the FA WNL Division North.
After a 2-0 victory over Chester-le-Street last weekend, the Whites have an opportunity to further extend their unbeaten run to three league games, and four across all competitions.
Before the game, Leeds midfielder Kath Smith shared her thoughts on the clash.
“We have made a good start to the season,” she said. “With a well-earned draw at Chorley and then beating a team from the league above in the cup, and then Sunday, we have made a really promising start.
“It will be hard,” Smith added on Sunday’s fixture. “We know that Cheadle will be really hard to break down but what is in our favour is that we managed to get four goals past them last season. We are going in to the game positive but we know it will be tough.
“It is nice to see the faces that come week in, week out,” Smith then said, regarding playing in front of the home support. “To feel like you are inspiring the little girls and boys gives you that little bit of edge.
“When you are playing and you get through on goal, or make a good tackle and you hear the crowd, it really does make a difference.”
