Benzema, who announced his retirement from international football following the Qatar World Cup, will become the second Ballon d’Or winner to join the Saudi top flight following Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr earlier this year. According to AFP, Benzema has now signed a three-year deal, citing an internal source at the club. The forward has signed a three-year deal with the club.

Whilst Benzema is the first big-name star to make the switch to Saudi Arabia this summer, He won’t be the last. As reported by AFP yesterday, the Saudi authorities are looking to bring in 10 high-calibre players that have either played in the Champions League or World Cup finals.
