Juventus 3-1 Parma

Scorers: Sandro 43′, 47′, De Ligt 68′; Brugman 25′

Juventus bounced back from a hectic few days with a win that keeps them in a box seat in the Champions League football race.

The Ducali took a surprise lead through a Gaston Brugman free-kick but the Old Lady levelled shortly before half-time with a thumping Alex Sandro volley following a corner.

And the Brazilian was at it again moments after the restart when the ball fell to him in the area and he steered a header home before another defender, Matthijs de Ligt, completed the scoring with a near post header.

The result lifts Juve up to third and within a point of Milan in second, although Atalanta and Napoli hover behind with games in hand.

Spezia 1-1 Inter

Scorers: Farias 12′; Perišić 39′

Inter’s unbeaten run continued at Spezia, although they did surprisingly drop two points against the newly-promoted side.

Spezia went 1-0 in front early when a combination of fortuitous deflections and slack goalkeeping helped Diego Farias to his fourth goal of the season.

But Ivan Perišić equalised for Inter in somewhat similar circumstances at the other end, the ball kindly breaking his way from closer range to bring his side back into it.

The Nerazzurri move 10 points in front at the top due to Milan’s earlier slip, while Spezia put five points between themselves and the drop zone.
