Paris Saint-Germain is keen on upgrading its backline as the capital club has been linked to Inter Milan center-back Milan Skriniar. The capital club reportedly wants to pay three at the back, and many assume Presnel Kimpembe would be part of this, but not so fast.

According to transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, should Juventus part ways with defender Matthijs de Ligt, who’s currently linked to clubs like Chelsea, the Serie A side could look at Kimpembe as a replacement.

Kimpembe has recently discussed his future with the arrival of sporting advisor Luis Campos. The 26-year-old is under contract until 2024 and will be looking to earn a pay raise when his deal comes up. However, with this report, it could be elsewhere and not PSG.

When it comes to a possible asking price the capital club could place on their former youth product, Transfermarkt puts his value at €40 million. Kimpembe made 41 appearances last season for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Should Skriniar arrive this summer, Campos’s sign would be clear that he wouldn’t consider the France international in the top two at central defense, which may cause the defender to evaluate other options.
