It has looked probable for some time now that Gudmundsson will leave Genoa this summer.

The Icelandic international has had an outstanding campaign for the Grifone. He has scored fourteen goals in Serie A so far this season, as well as assisting a further three.

Naturally, the transfer interest in Gudmundsson is therefore beginning to build.

There is interest from the Premier League.

But it is from the big clubs in Serie A that there is particular interest in Gudmundsson’s signature.

And according to Tuttosport, it is Juventus in particular who are in a strong position to sign Gudmundsson.

Juventus Move Ahead Of Inter In Race To Sign Albert Gudmundsson

For the past few weeks, the strongest links to Gudmundsson’s signature have been Inter.

However, Tuttosport report, a move for the 26-year-old would be difficult for the Nerazzurri.

The price tag for Gudmundsson will naturally have much to do with this.

Reportedly, Genoa want at least €35 million to sell their star man.

And then there is the fact that Inter are already well-stocked when it comes to attacking options.

Alexis Sanchez will leave Inter this summer. However, Mehdi Taremi is arriving on a free transfer from Porto.

Then, the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Marko Arnautovic are all set to stay.

Moreover, Joaquin Correa could return from his loan at Marseille, unless the French side win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League.

Therefore, for the time being, investing in a forward hardly looks to be the priority for Inter.

As such, Tuttosport report, Juventus look to have surpassed the Nerazzurri in the race to sign Gudmundsson.
