Sky Sport report today that Juventus remain in the chase for Genoa striker Gianluca Scamacca, who is currently on loan from Sassuolo. The Bianconeri are currently pushing for a loan deal with a permanent option, but their Neroverdi counterparts are instead asking for the option to be made an obligation at the end of the season.
As a result, Sassuolo remain open to selling the 22-year-old striker, who has impressed during his time in Liguria so far this campaign – with Juventus on the market for a striker this month following Paulo Dybala’s knee injury.
Among the other options being looked about by Juventus, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud remains a target, having been linked with a move to Italy this past summer.
The French international would reportedly accept the Serie A switch should the Bianconeri put an 18-month contract on the table, although the club are reticent on paying the €5m fee which the Premier League side would demand.
