Tuttosport reports that Aston Villa were ready to bid €35m for Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso last summer, but the Bianconeri didn’t even listen to the offer.
Juventus defender Cambiaso has had an impressive start to the season with one goal and two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions with the Bianconeri.
He also scored his second international goal with Italy’s national team on Sunday in a 3-1 loss against France.

Cambiaso signed a contract extension with Juventus in May 2024 but still attracted interest from several foreign clubs last summer, including Aston Villa.
Tuttosport reports that the Premier League side were ready to offer €35m to sign the 24-year-old, but Juventus didn’t even consider listening to their proposal.
The Turin-based paper claims that even Milan sounded out Cambiaso in 2023 but received the same reply from the Old Lady.
Ironically, Juventus will meet Milan and Aston Villa in their next two competitive matches.
The first game against Milan in Serie A is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, while the Champions League clash against Aston Villa in Birmingham will kick off at 21:00 GMT on November 27.
