Tyrone Mings has penned a new contract at Aston Villa, the club have announced.
The 32-year-old mad moved into the final 12 months of his deal but the club have ensured that he has committed to a longer term stay.
"In the time I’ve been at the club we’ve had quite the journey. Every player signs for a club hoping they can contribute positively towards something successful and my belief that we can achieve something extra special is stronger than ever," he said of the new deal.
“I thank the fans, the manager, the staff and the players for their unwavering support both on and off the pitch through one of the toughest periods of my career. I’m sure that next season will be our best one yet!"
After returning to action in November following a long-term knee injury, Mings went on to make 22 appearances for the Villans last season.
