Juventus are making waves in their chase of David Hancko and have broken through with the player, who’s keen on joining. They have sort of blocked him for June. They’ll try to convince Feyenoord to let him go in January already, Alfredo Pedullà relays.
The Bianconeri plot to shell out €25M plus bonuses for the Slovak. They consider him perfect for Thiago Motta’s style given his skillset, experience, and ability to feature as a left-back in a pinch. He has already spent time in Italy, even though he was a fringe player at Fiorentina.
Juventus believe to have done enough to sign Hancko next summer but will attempt to accelerate his arrival. It’ll come down to Feyenoord’s willingness to part ways with their linchpin midseason. If not, the Old Lady will seal the deal in the following months to avoid a bidding war.
It remains to be seen whether Facundo Gonzalez will be part of the operation. He moved to the Eredivisie on loan with a €6M option to buy. He has played seven times so far, never from the start.
Considering the makeup of the defense, and the fact that Gleison Bremer will return eventually, a lefty would be a strong fit. Given their ongoing issues, it’d be recommendable to add somebody with strong leadership skills rather than a youngster, albeit talented. If they are sure they’ll get him down the line, it could change their January plans. They might go for a band-aid to get through the season rather than orchestrating a different purchase.
