Jordan Henderson has joined Brentford on a two-year deal after leaving Ajax as a free agent.
The 35-year-old prioritised a Premier League return with the view of breaking into the England team for the 2026 World Cup.
Henderson joins Brentford following the departure of former club captain Christian Nørgaard to Arsenal.
The former Liverpool and England captain left Anfield at the end of the 2022/23 campaign for Al-Ettifaq.
He signed for Ajax following just six months in the Saudi Pro League and made 57 appearances for the Dutch giants before his release earlier in July.
Henderson is Brentford's fifth summer signing, following Caoimhin Kelleher, Michael Kayode, Romelle Donovan and Antoni Milambo to West London.
