According to Sports Zone, Julian Nagelsmann has been keen on the idea of managing Manchester United since last summer. He may get the chance, with the German one of INEOS’ primary targets.

INEOS confirmed the purchase of their stake in Premier League side Manchester United earlier this week. Sir Jim Ratcliffe spoke to the media in the wake of the announcement, tackling a wide range of subjects. Whilst he evoked an ambitious project, stating that he wished to knock Liverpool and Manchester City “off their perch”, he did not confirm the future of Erik Ten Hag as manager.

The Dutchman’s position came into question earlier this season amidst a significant downturn in results, however, the Red Devils have won their last three in the Premier League, which has seen that pressure ease somewhat. The managerial position could, nonetheless, be a topic once again come the end of the season.

Nagelsmann will manage Germany at the upcoming EURO 2024 tournament, but beyond that, he will be unattached. The former Bayern Munich manager is tempted by the idea of managing Manchester United and according to Sports Zone, he is a priority target for INEOS, who are looking to reinvigorate the project at Old Trafford.
