Jules Koundé’s stance on move revealed after Chelsea scout Barcelona star vs Napoli | OneFootball

An insight into the stance of Barcelona star Jules Koundé regarding a potential summer departure from the club has been provided this evening.

This comes amid a fresh round of speculation surrounding the future of the Frenchman.

Koundé, for his part, featured from the off once more on Wednesday, as Barcelona made the trip to Italy for the first leg of the club’s Champions League Last-16 tie with Serie A champions Napoli.

And his efforts across the 90 minutes are understood to have been watched closely by one of the giants of the Premier League.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing HITC, Chelsea had representatives present at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

As much came to watch both Koundé, and Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea, of course, were Barca’s main rivals for the signature of the stopper, with a move to Stamford Bridge having looked all but certain before the Blaugrana snapped him up from under the noses of the Blues.

Evidently, though, the brass in west London remain keen admirers of Koundé’s talents.

And also keeping a close eye on the situation, it is claimed, are Premier League rivals Arsenal, and Newcastle United.

If the 25-year-old has his way, however, then any and all suitors of his signature are set to be left disappointed, for the time being at least.

This comes with Mundo Deportivo having confirmed that Koundé ‘is not contemplating his departure’ from Barcelona this summer.
