Jürgen Klopp has admitted that Thiago’s injury is “not good” but the Liverpool boss refused to say whether he will be fit for the Champions League final.

Thiago limped off in the firs half of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season.

And thoughts immediately turned to next Saturday with the Reds taking on Real Madrid in Paris.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the game, Klopp conceded that he was not confident the midfielder will be available

“Not good, but I can’t say more. He was outside with the families, had his little girl on his shoulders, so he could walk, that’s obviously a good sign. All the rest we will see from tomorrow.

“[It’s the] lower part of the body. I know it, but actually don’t want to talk now about it. We will see.

“Give us a chance to have the [scan]; it makes the news not better or worse. We want to wait until we know more about it and then you will get the information as well.”

Despite their win, Liverpool finished the season one point behind eventual winners Manchester City.
