Juan Quintero has admitted that River Plate are looking to end 2018 on a high after making it to the Club World Cup.
South America’s Copa Libertadores champions go to United Arab Emirates to take on Al Ain in their semi-final on Tuesday.
And the Colombia playmaker has insisted that his side are prepared for whatever comes their way this month.
“The expectations are high,” he told FIFA.com.
“We’re arriving on the back of a great performance in the Copa Libertadores and now we have the chance to face the champions of the other continents.
“We want to do well and we’re prepared for the competition.”
The second semi-final will be between Real Madrid and Kashima Antlers on Wednesday with the final taking place on Sunday.
