Another season, another disappointing start to the Chivas campaign as the rojiblancos were stunned 3-1 by Atlético San Luis.

After three games, Chivas have collected just two points, sitting in 15th place with the rest of the league yet to play their third match of the 2021 Guard1anes campaign.

Following the match, Chivas striker José Juan Macías admitted his side did not come out as intense as the victors.

“Obviously, a match to be forgotten. We didn’t get connected, they beat us by intensity, we paid for those mistakes,” Macías said after the match.

“The tournament is just beginning, we have to turn the page and keep working.

“Intensity and concentration were the factors that made the difference. I think we have to learn from these moments, not every match will be a victory. We have to grow.”

Referring to how he felt after spending 13 days in isolation following his positive COVID-19 test, he said, “I feel good physically, you have to get a little rhythm, I trained alone, but I feel good.”

Chivas will face their next test when they take on FC Juárez next Saturday, January 30th.
