Chelsea have announced that Jonna Andersson will depart the club for Hammarby IF at the end of the season following the expiration of her contract.
The 29-year-old defender joined Chelsea from Linkopings in her native Sweden in 2018 and has gone on to win seven major trophies during her time in west London.
Andersson has scored six times in 130 appearances for the Blues, collecting three WSL titles, two FA Cups and two Continental Cups.
"Jonna has been an unbelievable professional during her time with us and instrumental in our success," said manager Emma Hayes.
"Her level of commitment to this team has been unreal. I’ve no doubt she’ll continue to better herself right to the end of the season and we’ll be sure to give her the send-off she deserves."
Andersson made 19 WSL appearances during Chelsea's 2020/21 title-winning campaign, and featured six times during the Blues' famous run to the Champions League final. However, she was an unused substitute in the final as Chelsea suffered a 4-0 loss to Barcelona, with Niamh Charles preferred at left-back.
The Blues have largely operated with a back three this season, with Guro Reiten currently Emma Hayes' first-choice left wing-back.
Andersson is one of four Chelsea players out of contract at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, alongside Maren Mjelde, Ji So-yun, and Drew Spence.
Mjelde, Ji and Spence will all also be made free agents in the summer unless the current sanctions placed on Chelsea by the government are lifted.
