Johnny Kenny, remember him? The Irish under 21 international who joined the club in 2022 from Sligo Rovers? Yes that Johnny Kenny who is currently showing fine form in a loan spell with Shamrock Rovers back in his homeland.
Johnny never made a first team appearance for the club and was quickly loaned out to Queen’s Park, but failed to score in his 12 appearances with the Spiders.

However following a loan spell at Shamrock Rovers, Johnny has pushed himself back into contention by scoring 21 goals in 69 games including a couple of strikes in the Irish sides impressive performances in the UEFA conference league that has took them on the brink of a play off spot.
Johnny is still contracted to the club until 2027 and according to the ever reliable Stephen McGowan at the Scottish Daily Mail, he will be given a chance to prove himself in Glasgow when his current loan deal ends in January.
With only Kyogo and Adam Idah as our current strikers, it would make sense to give the Irishman a chance to see if he can make the grade and save the club forking out for another striker come January.
