Johan Bakayoko a likely replacement for Dani Olmo at RB Leipzig

According to kicker, PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko is a likely replacement for Dani Olmo at RB Leipzig this summer.

It had previously been reported that the Belgian winger was of keen interest to RB Leipzig, but Die Roten Bullen faced competition from Bayern Munich and a number of Premier League clubs.

As well as this, it was believed that before Leipzig could approach the Dutch side for Bakayoko’s services, they would have to sell a key asset due to the 21-year-old’s high valuation.

However, with Olmo’s transfer to Barcelona having been completed, Marco Rose’s side certainly have the finances to meet PSV’s €45 million valuation of the winger.

As stated in the report, Bakayoko is the ideal target for Leipzig, as they are not looking to replace Olmo with a natural number ten but instead with a winger who is capable of cutting inside.

Nonetheless, at this stage, a deal is far from advanced, with Leipzig considering other options.
