Bild reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach right-back Joe Scally could be planning a move away from the club in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has recently changed agents to the same agency as Toni Kroos and it is said that Scally wants to play at a higher level. This is with the intention to play at the 2026 World Cup, which is jointly hosted by his native USA as well as Canada and Mexico.

Scally’s contract at Gladbach does not expire until 2027 but clubs such as AC Milan and Fulham have both shown interest in the 21-year-old in the past.

However, despite his recent spell at centre-back for Gladbach, Scally, like Gladbach, has stagnated in performance and development. Since the return of Ko Itakura and Maximilian Wöber, there is now no place for the right-back in the Gladbach 11.

Currently, Gladbach are 13th in the Bundesliga and slowly slipping closer to relegation due to their poor performances.
