Ahead of AC Milan’s game against Bologna, Joao Felix spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand, playing from the first minute tonight.

The Chelsea loanee came off the bench against Genoa last time out and helped turn the game around, first with a pass for Gimenez and then forcing the defender to an own-goal. With Rafael Leao out suspended, as such, Sergio Conceicao has given him the chance from start.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, Joao Felix shared his thoughts on Bologna and what this clash means for the Coppa Italia final. Indeed, there will be back-to-back games between the two teams.

Today is preparation for the final…

“Every game is important for the team to show what we are capable of. We are focused on this game, then we will think about the final after tonight.”

On facing Bologna…

“They do man-marking all over the pitch. It’s not easy to play against them, if we find spaces with the right passes, we can unleash our qualities.”

After a disappointing loan so far, destined to return to England, the hope is that the winger at least can do well in the season finale. Milan will no doubt need all of their quality to beat Bologna today as well as on Wednesday.
