Lorenzo De Silvestri said this after the game: “It’s disappointing as we were seemingly in control, then the equaliser came and we became disjointed and started making errors. Milan are a strong side with top players and it is hard facing them at San Siro. Now we must put this bitter loss behind us and get our physical and mental strength back for Wednesday. We will not let ourselves down, we are Bologna and we are proud to be back in the final after 51 years and to take so many fans with us to Rome. The final will be a different game, with this defeat put behind us, and we want to head there with the calmness and concentration that makes us so strong. We have beaten many records in these past seasons, and we have earned this chance to be in the final. The team is ready, we want to win, and we will put it all in to lift that trophy”.
