Chivas fans will not thank recently departed José Juan Macías for his comments about former colleague Alexis Vega.
Macías is fulfilling his long-held ambition of playing in Europe following his move to Spanish side Getafe on loan (with an option to buy) last month.
And now that the 21-year-old is living his dream, he wants Vega to follow his example.
“He (Vega) is in a brutal moment, he has a confidence that is spectacular, he is floating on the field, he has a football rhythm,” Macías told ESPN.
“Things work out for him and when a footballer is like that he is happy, because he is enjoying it a lot.
“It seems to me that he has to come here, to European football soon.”
Chivas attacker Vega is currently starring for Mexico at the Olympics, with two goals and an assist to his credit so far in the tournament.
He will be hoping to help El Tri get past Brazil in their semi-final battle in Tokyo tomorrow.
