An insight into the plans of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick when it comes to his starting XI for the season ahead has this weekend been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and highlights a couple of altogether noteworthy incoming changes.
Barcelona are of course fresh off a thoroughly productive campaign in 2024/25.
Looking a side reborn under the watch of new boss Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana romped to a domestic treble, also coming within a whisker of a Champions League final berth.
In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of Flick and his staff preparing to make use of the bulk of the same first-choice XI which finished last season.
As per MD, though, two changes of note are expected…
One, as expected, will come between the posts, where Joan García is primed to step into an immediate starting role.
The other, though, is altogether more noteworthy, amid claims that Ferran Torres has seemingly overtaken Robert Lewandowski in the centre-forward pecking order.
Barcelona’s predicted line-up for the 2025/26 campaign:
Joan García; Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Balde; Pedri, De Jong; Lamine, Olmo, Raphinha and Ferran
