Jesús ‘Chapo’ Sánchez has admitted he held clear the air talks with manager Marcelo Michel Leaño about his situation at Chivas.
The veteran right-back was a regular starter under Víctor Manuel Vucetich, but saw his minutes diminish dramatically once Leaño took interim charge after ‘King Midas’ was sacked in late September.
Speaking to Mexican football reporter Alex Ramírez, Sánchez revealed how the conversation with Leaño (who has been given the job on a permanent basis) went.
“We have already talked. We have already been able to have talks and I know that they are merely football situations, it is nothing personal.
“They are situations that he sees profitable for the team, and I am at the team’s disposal.”
The 32-year-old has made over 300 appearances in all competitions since making his senior debut in 2010.
