Jesper Lindstrom’s Napoli future uncertain

Danish star Jesper Lindstrom’s future at Napoli is now uncertain and he could leave the club this month.

The Partenopei are all but set to land Verona’s Cyril Ngonge, who can play outwide and has also played centrally for the Gialloblu. Il Mattino have stated that the Belgian’s signing is making Napoli reflect on the future of Lindstrom, who has sometimes fallen so far down the pecking order that Alessio Zerbin has often played ahead of him.

Lindstrom has played only a limited number of minutes and while he has seen as a back-up to Matteo Politano, the Italian’s impressive performances have limited his game time further. The club believe that the 23-year-old has failed to provide the output that was expected out of him, when he joined for a prominent fee in the summer.

It remains to be seen if he truly leaves or not, but considerations are ongoing at the club.
