An insight into the stellar start to life being enjoyed by Ibrahim Diarra at Barcelona has been provided late this evening.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, who point towards the youngster as having made an immediate impression on the coaching staff in Catalunya.
Diarra’s name of course took its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital late last month.
This came after confirmation was forthcoming that the gifted wide-man had agreed to take his talents to Barcelona.
As part of the club’s partnership with the Africa Foot Academy, Diarra joined the Blaugrana on a trial basis, for the remainder of the year.
The Malian, for his part, is widely considered to be one of African football’s most exciting breakthrough talents, fresh off clinching Player of the Tournament honours at the U17 World Cup.
And, as alluded to above, if his early endeavours are anything to go by, Barcelona may well have another young gem on their hands.
As per the aforementioned Sport:
‘Diarra has assimilated concepts better than he even expected and is making an impact above all because of his explosiveness and the speed of his movements.’
Though work remains to be done when it comes to the attacker’s understanding of the Barca way, his ‘technical quality’, ‘dribbling skills’ and ‘ability to set up the shot’ for his teammates have already caught the eye.
The powers that be at the Camp Nou will have a decision to make when it comes to Diarra’s signing upon the youngster turning 18 in December.
Should he continue along his current trajectory, though, it should prove an altogether easy one to make.
