Although it’s set to be another exciting day at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon (12pm UK), Amy James-Turner is focused on the task at hand with the visit of Leicester City.

The Foxes travel to N17 for our semi-final clash in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in what will be our first appearance in the last four of the competition - secure your tickets here - and Amy has played a crucial role in reaching this stage in our cup journey so far.

In the quarter-final against Manchester City, the defender’s long-ball over the top allowed Bethany England to net her injury-time equaliser and then in the penalty shootout, after Becky Spencer had saved the visitors’ first two spot-kicks, the defender calmly stepped up and slotted the ball past Khiara Keating to secure a 4-3 win in the shootout.

This weekend’s clash will be our second meeting with the Foxes in the space of four weeks, previously running out 1-0 winners in the Barclays Women’s Super League, but the 32-year-old is keen not to look back at previous encounters and is excited to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“We are really looking forward to the game," Amy said. "It’s a great occasion for the Club and we have worked hard to get to this point so we will do everything we can to progress into the final of the competition.

“We always enjoy playing at this stadium, especially with the supporters behind us and cheering us on throughout the game. So, hopefully, there’s a big crowd there this weekend to support us.

“However, for us, this is just another game and we are trying not to put too much pressure on ourselves, we certainly don’t want to underestimate Leicester City. We know they have plenty of quality in their squad and we will have to be at our best to beat them on the day. Our complete focus is on this weekend’s game and we can’t look at previous encounters against them.”
