Brighton duo James Milner and Danny Welbeck have committed their futures to the club.

Milner has signed on at the Amex Stadium, where he joined from Liverpool last summer, for another a 12 months while Welbeck penned a two-year deal.

The former England internationals have become integral figures as Roberto De Zerbi’s side maintained their Premier League top-half standing this season.

“I am delighted for James and Danny, as they both deserve these extensions,” said De Zerbi.

“Their qualities as footballers and also as individuals are very clear for everyone to see, so this is very good news for us.

“They have both been very important for the club on and off the pitch, and with Adam Lallana leaving us their contribution becomes even more crucial next season.”

The Seagulls, who sit 10th in the table, host Chelsea on Wednesday before welcoming Manchester United for their season finale.
