James McAtee has rejoined Sheffield United on loan from Manchester City for the remainder of the season.

McAtee played a key role in the Blades promotion to the Premier League last term, scoring nine goals and assisting four others in 43 appearances for the club.

The 20-year-old had been expected to return to his parent club and try to break into the first-team this season, but the arrival of Matheus Nunes from Wolves appears to have limited his playing time.

The England U21 international midfielder will now head back to Bramall Lane to continue his development as Paul Heckingbottom’s side bid to avoid relegation.
