Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic is not expected to recover from injury in time to be available for the Serie A match against Sassuolo on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nerazzurri take on Sassuolo in a rearranged fixture after the clash was initially postponed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 within the Inter camp last month.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Croatia international Perisic is unlikely to feature against the Neroverdi, having sat out yesterday’s 1-0 win over Bologna with a minor injury.

Defender Aleksandar Kolarov was also unavailable yesterday through injury whilst Danilo D’Ambrosio has only just recovered from COVID-19, with the pair battling to be fit for the midweek encounter.

Meanwhile, Inter coach Antonio Conte will be unable to call upon midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and centre-back Alessandro Bastoni after they both received yellow cards against Bologna. They will now serve a one-match ban for an accumulation of bookings and will be unavailable at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
