Beppe Bergomi feels that Napoli are “under pressure” while Inter Milan “have the wind in their sails” in the Serie A title race.
The legendary former Nerazzurri captain and 1982 World Cup winner with Italy gave his thoughts on the title race in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
There are now just two matches to go in the Serie A title race.
Inter Milan and Napoli are separated by just a single point at the top of the table.
Therefore, it is clear that the title race is still far from over.
The Partenopei undoubtedly have the advantage. If they win both their matches, against Parma and Cagliari, they will win the title no matter what Inter do.
However, those are going to be tricky matches. As are the Nerazzurri’s final two league outings against the likes of Lazio and Como.
Therefore, it will go down to the wire, without question.
And the question of momentum could prove to be crucial. Particularly considering that Napoli dropped points against Genoa last weekend.
Inter, on the other hand, are riding high on reaching the Champions League final.

Beppe Bergomi writes that “It’s impossible to say exactly what will happen in this round of fixtures.”
“But it’s inevitable to think that Napoli are the favourite to win in the end.”
“In any event, this will be an unpredictable weekend for everyone,” Bergomi continues. “Particularly for Conte’s team.”
“And it won’t necessarily be decisive.”
“How they’ll react to seeing their advantage go down to just a point we can’t know,” Bergomi notes. “But it’s obvious that the pressure they’re under is increasing.”
“Meanwhile, Inter suddenly have the wind in their sails. And being in the hunt for the title can also be good for them in the Champions League.”
“The team is obligated to stay alive in it right until the last second.”
