Italian Media Details Inter Attacker Joaquin Correa’s Injury

Inter forward Joaquin Correa underwent examinations at the Humanitas clinic to determine the extent of his injury after the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Bologna, and was determined to have suffered a bruise but nothing serious.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Argentine sustained a blunt trauma to the pelvis after his collision with Rossoblue defender Lorenzo Di Silvestri during yesterday’s match.

Correa made his first start for the Nerazzurri yesterday, but his evening ended in disappointment after he was unable to continue and had to leave the pitch following discomfort suffered from an early challenge with Di Silvestri.

There had been some worry initially that the pain felt could have been indicative of a tear or fracture of some kind that would rule the 27-year-old out for a longer period or have protracted consequences.

However, tests have made clear that the knock is only a heavy bruise to the attacker.
